A Void In Heart

I've misplaced my love,
somewhere between the lines.
I've filled that void with invisible feelings,
an open space of emptiness,
a hollow place where I pocket
each day's passage.

I am painting shades of blue today,
mind traveling each stroke,
keeping me safe from
the power of words.

I watch the pigment dry,
the window open,
the movement of fresh air
dancing the sheerness
of my thoughts.

Coat after coat,
covering the wounds,
masking the surface,
an artistic front
that I always apply,
when needing a new face.

'Invisible feelings'...very cool image (or lack of one...lol).  Hope there's a hand in that pocket holding yours soon.

littlewing,  sometimes I wish I couldn't feel

Dixie, thanks..it was better to paint than to mope and I am good at doing both

Duncan, funny   would be nice to have a hand in that pocket then I am sure my feelings wouldn't be invisible.

Ah yes...I know this place.
I hope you find your love and fill the void soon.
Big hugs to you, friend.

Thank you Vicky for taking the time to read and respond. Some days I feel the void and other days it is filled unexpectedly
