~*~

Springtime thaw is nigh.
Air is filled with earthy musk,
As snow surrenders.
Breathe deep of life's renewal;
Absorb its vitality.

Bud in tender bloom
Blossoms opening to sky
Scents filling senses
Capture now the colored world
Renewed rebirth now unfurled

Oh, THANK you for the inspire!

This is terrific, so very specific, it brings my eye a tear.
If I could but say it, or maybe just pray it, I'd get off from my rear
But forms like these, altho' they please, escape this weary mind.
And so I rhyme it, will even time it, and send my words so kind.
Well done!!

(Karilea said it better that I might)

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Beautiful Linda!
And I am another who is so pleased the snow has surrendered.
Although today it feels so different from Tuesday.
Wonderfully penned...and much enjoyed!

Nancy ~

Is it not unbelievable the sudden and drastic change in the weather?!? My blood is so cofused! It doesn't know whether it is to run thin or thick from one day to the next!

" earthy musk"  How I love this smell! And how I love to dig. Yesterday it was 85° and I was out digging and moving plants and loving every second of Spring. Last night a cold front came roaring in from Ontario and has plopped itself over NE and I have the heat on cause it's only about 35°. How weird is this?

I loved your Spring rhyme.  Hugs sweet friend, Marti

Linda, I love this springy rhmyme. And, all of you are certainly right about this weather. We thought the freezing cold was all gone and planted some tomatoes and cucumbers in a little garden. Well, we had some chilly nights (& still are this week...though not freezing), and the chill killed my little cucumber plants. But, we've planted some more. The tomatoes look really good, though.

Hey, have you ever eaten cucumber sandwiches? They are delicious when the cucmbers are fresh out of the garden.  Yummy.

Hugs, Earthey Angel
Ethel

Breathe deep of life's renewal;

But spring breaths tend to make me sneeze
As pollen conquers my sinuses with ease.

LOL... Sorry... couldn't resist.... even tho I shoulda cuz I loved your poem. *G*

(smiles) Oh Linda, I'm so sorry I'm late replying to your new gorgeous poems, sweet friend, I went and saw my sister at her improvization show last night and before that I was at the community center helping little boys and girls! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, yay, now I'm going outside to run barefoot in the grass, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.

Marti ~

Sorry that you were sent some of our cold, Ontario weather!--The weatherman wouldn't cooperate! I told him that it was imperative for the frigid temperatures be kept away from your area because you needed to keep warm!--but he sent it to you anyway! --At least I tried!

Sending you extra warm hugs & a Hudson's Bay blanket!

Suthern ~

Glad you "loved" my poem, but sorry to learn that you are a hayfever sufferer! I had been one as well--and for many years!-- but thankfully I grew out of it--with the help of allergy shots for two years! I don't need to take an antihistamine---even when the pollen counts are at their highest!

Warm hugs,
EA

It sounds as though both you and  your sister are assets to your community! The performing arts genes seem to run in your family!
