Listening to every heart

Someday you will paint my words

Like an artist’s rendering
a lovely line
will then lead
to exquisite scene,
winsome lass
on a canvassed
green

In your artist’s
rendering

A cubist, nay,
you are not ~
but rather you would
featherly wrought
a raging sea
of blackish-blue
under sky
of grayish hue

Keen-line in a ship
so fine
through port-hole,
Madeira wine
can be seen
if you peer
from the pier
as you stand
a far distance from
the shore

With paintbrush
in artist’s hand...

And if you were to paint my words

Then attempt to
affix me lone
to canvas light
in day’s sun bright,
or would you rather
find moonlight shine,
after a glass
or two
or three
of wine
on these, these lips
of thee…

Speaking these very words
so soft, so rare, so fine……

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Do paint me then
in slow recline
with blessed eyes
of green,
a large great smile,
patina’d sheen,
and if you could
in tangled wise
leave a remember
of bedroom eyes

Oh, I do love you thus,
when you attempt
to look at me
when my words
rhyme with “thee”
and when you smile
in my eyes
in the morning light of three…

But if you someday attempt
to paint my words

Is there a color that blends well
with

Unheard?

May I just quietly sit here, read this again..
and whisper,  yes?
Perhaps then..I could paint as thee?
Beautiful m'friend...absolutely beautiful.

This is one of the many you've written that gives me something else every time I read it.  You don't often imply a sensuality in those of yours I've read, but this is more powerful for the understatement.  KJ

Love this portrait...a different hue of you.
And yes, there is a color for ...unheard.  I would paint it in diminishing values... a washed out/watered down burnt umber.
A keeper. Softly sensual, softly crying out to be heard, and touched.
Hope the intended is listening carefully.

PS, I have decided to start drawing/painting again. I just may do a portrait collage of Pipsters from the photos here at the forums. Who knows? Maybe you will show up in palest burnt umber surrounded by the glow of a lemony sunshine aura!
