Silenced

A week or so has come and gone,
no longer do I have the words.
Those easily that caught the wind
are silent now, to not be heard.

The chill has stayed, exchanged for warm
of once what was, but now has left.
The days turn night, in hours short
to steal away, a lover's theft.

The path has ended, throat is tight,
the taste of you now bittersweet.
The morning song drifts towards the sea,
in tided pull of incomplete.

On and on, and so it goes
stepping back, a movement raised.
I've lost the graded, failed the test,
cannot conform to coated, glazed.

A shadow's fate of reminisce
submissive, not, to anyone.
Voyeurized and tortured, pain
an agony, of comfort, none.

The other side of mirror, dread
a perfect place to visit dreams.
Turning from a nightmare's stead
piecing gift of words with seams

That tie together solace, found
that hides outside Pandora's ills,
locked to keep the inside pain
that seeps through cracks, in tear-like spills.

The time of then and those of now
space the moments, mind in send.
Besides the furthermore in thought,
without, becomes a voice in end.

Hope and Bridgette, thank you for stopping by. It's responses from friends that makes writing worthwhile and knowing, too that your feelings come across in words.

hugsss
