Dimmie Song [inspired by Margherita]

Low and blown beneath the wind
Lay dimmie flowers on the graves,
Little petals of virgin white,
Three-quarter inch in size.

Naked eye sees spread of white
Bend now low, see a lovely sight
Carpeting ever the dusty ages
Three-quarter inch in size…

But if we grow to snail in height
The purple assuages us in snow,
And smaller yet some blue peeks out
Less than miniscule in size…

Dimmie flowers of nature’s best
Grown wild throughout these lands,
Kansa carpet evergreen
Hold more than we realize.

That is so nice and those are such pretty flowers too.  Nice you did this for our wonderful Italian friend (who incidentally is not getting any more mosquitoe bites maybe )

While flowers aren't the subjects of my writing, I do appreciate the way you allow a reader to kind of drift away as they read your work.  This is prevalent in all of your poems
I've read so far.

Sunshine,

loved how you took us down to microscopic views of these lovely flowers (and the world)!

Wow, what a truly lovely surprise here! So small these dimmies yet ever so perfectly designed in Paradise ..

Naked eye sees spread of white
Bend now low, see a lovely sight
Carpeting ever the dusty ages
Three-quarter inch in size…

I very much enjoy all your poems dedicated to nature (the lonely Pine tree is forever carved in my memory!).
It really feels great that my poem inspired you to write this. Thank you from the heart, dear Karilea!
And dear Sharon, instead of "Happy" by Clinique I have now a touch of SSS and .... Vicks!!! haha .... fighting my battle with the Tiger mosquitos.(I'll report to you after a few days' experimentation).

Mille grazie!
Hugs, Margherita
