She is wrapped in cold grey again
and lonliness grasps a spirit with a cruel hand.
She sinks with a calm acceptance
sliding fingernails
down a wet unforgiving wall of hopelessness
hoping to find comfort
even in the screaming silence of dispair.
At least there
at the bottom
the floor will not give way beneath her.

Somewhere in a verticle distance
she is curled around stone
fingers glazed in blood
from holding on tight enough to brace herself
for the tear storms that ravage her hope
leave her empty
dry
and her wrecked red eyes
dare not open again
to reveal the stench of dead passion inside.

You share so much of yourself, here. I always love to find and read what you have to say.

Such a raw, powerful write and as always I find pieces of myself in your words.  Each case is it's own type of hell and it's seems almost a mockery for me to say that I relate, but, I do and once again you have touched me, if painfully so.  This is a keeper~

Take care,

Oh my, this is potent. I wish I could gift you something to make the pain go away. How about a cyber smile?

(big huggssssssss) Oh Jennifer, my heart goes out to you, sweet friend, I understand these blood-shot portrayings and I wish for angel tears of healing like Visine to come and take this red out! (sigh) My thoughts are with you, sweet friend, we are all here for you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jennifer, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Awake again, and know that always beyond the storm, is the sun.

Thank you.

Heaped on the floor prevents a leap. This was a very good description of despair. Sorry you were compelled to do it and hope it's release finds you a bit better.

Sheer brilliance! If I lived a thousand life times I could never write such a line. I love your work.
