I think back on the years I gave you
( wondering how )
Could I not have known.

Did I not open my heart and all I was
pouring myself out
into your handssaying
know me,
taste me,
love me,
if you can.

( wondering how )
You found it so easy to discard me
( wondering how )
in all that was wise
from living did I not see
what you were doing.

Or Did I?

Perhaps I was content to let you use me
knowing in that deep dark part of
myself
that was all
I could ever have of you.

( wondering how )
Will I ever be able to think
of you again without
my stomache churning wildly
as bile rises in my throat.

( wondering how )

it's hard to wonder, and then even to know, but the sooner the better...acceptance is the key. Move on to other thoughts that will make you smile.

sometimes if  you wonder to much, the truth you dont want to know, whispers in .....and then its a hard toss of the dice on whether or not you want to know

My heart goes out to you. Sometimes, we are the last to find out, and it is so difficult to accept the truth about someone you loved and trusted so much.
It is devastating and too often we think we did something to cause it....
though we didn't; and, that somehow doesn't help the sense of betrayal go away...You wrote a good poem, for I think many can identify with it.
Look forward to more of your work.

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Leona, my heart goes out to you, I just lost my swetheart and I will always love her so much but I'm worried she may always think of me as bile! (sad sigh) This is so deeply heartfelt, sweet friend, I send angel hugs of comfort your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Leona, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You may have been pushed, or perhaps you just jumped.....to safety.

I liked this one as well!
