And With Friends' Strength All around we see the sites the trees that glow, with colours bright. Many yards with presentations displaying Christmas decorations. The sounds of joy spread through the air, tempting us to join the fare. A jolly time of year to share and show how much we really care. And yet we sit here all alone, wishing for a time once known, when memories from years that passed of times we hoped would always last. The world surrounds us in its hold veiled in reds and greens and golds. The love we once had, may be gone. But with our friends we still stand strong. Loneliness has cloaked this night to keep us warm without, inspite and wipe away the shed of tear, to share the spirit of this year. * written to share with Sue a time that may find us alone, but among friends. nakdthoughts and smartchicksue M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." Maureen and Sue, this is very beautiful and very special. It almost made me cry. Isn't it wonderful to have friends and GOOD memories? I know the bad ones hurt, (I've got some of them myself), and the hurtful memories seem to come to the surface more often around the holidays. But, that's when the friends are very helpful. I'm very glad that I met you both at Passions, and I consider both of you my friends.  "Love makes the world go around" |

Thank you everyone. I have had two years of the loneliness, so I am already use to it, while Sue is just beginning to be alone during this holiday season. And I thought this would be a good way to cheer each of us up, who have to wade through the aloneness when this is a time for sharing. Thank you again Sue for joining me in this effort to say that there are friends who can take the "empty" away. *s And for those of you who have read and responded and have added to the warmth. hugssss Maureen |
