The rain is softly tapping,
Against the window pane.
A cold, north wind is blowing,
Reviving aches and pains.

My riggin' in the corner-
My worn-out truck outside,
My next show is in Phoenix,
I surely hope I ride...

Cause the money ain't in rain-outs,
Or seven second rides-
And women just can't pay the bills,
On "Baby's, I sure trieds".

Each time I drop into a chute-
And take my wrap and nod...
I know that I am tempting fate,
And trying to play god.

But rodeo's addictive-
It gets down deep inside...
The only time I really live,
Is when I make my ride.

But here I am day-dreaming,
I'd better pack and go.
Tomorrow night I'll live again-
At my next rodeo.

I enjoyed this, too.  You captured the heart of the rider. Love watching bull riders on TV Rodeo broadcasts.
I actually cound down the seconds of the ride.

Warm regards, Pat

I saw my first real rodeo in Wyoming a couple of years ago - I can surely see its addictive lure... Nicely done, GS - As usual...

(BTW - You know your UserName was finally combined as you asked, yes?)
