Try Again

The obscuring curtain of rain
imprisoning me yesterday,
has been lifted and the sunshine
is beaming down today.

And so it is with your troubles,
so impenetrable it seems.
If you face your fear and persevere
God will show you sunbeams.

The dawn will come without a doubt.
Don't give up without a fight.
Edison failed and tried again;
he learned to light the night.

The deepest and darkest dungeon
must have had an opening door;
else how were you thrown into it?
Stand up and look some more.

God didn't put us on this earth
to defeat us at every turn.
He wants us to make an effort.
The only way we learn.

So many lessons, so much learning to do no matter how old one gets. Every turn something new. Makes for interesting living. Like this very much. But don't think I have read anything of yours that I didn't like. Thanks for a great read.

I have to agree with Spirit, there is nothing I read of yours I don't learn something from and truly enjoy, and this one stands in that same category.

Joyce,

For me, very self motivating.  I've been going through some serious trials with my eyes the past few days.  Some days I am completely blind in one of my eyes...(my right eye) but, like you have written.... I'm not going to give up without a fight.  I'm believing that through the power of prayer and through modern technology that all will be fine.  GOD bless and again your poems are of great inspiration to me.

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is so very true and my heart has been broken lately losing my sweetheart though I am assuming He only did so because He knew I was going the wrong way! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

The dawn will come without a doubt.
Don't give up without a fight.

Where would we be without the light? Thinking of a simple lightbulb...how dependent on it we have become.
We surely need the light from the Lord to shine on us every day.
