With nights short and days long, I get my strength from God above,
When all about me seems wrong, I get comfort from His abiding Love.
When my life I don’t understand, I trust in The Son of Man, who died,
Even when I don’t see His hand, I know that The Lord is at my side.

Although Christ Jesus had no sin, He died upon that cross for me,
He died so that I could live with Him, not just now but for Eternity.
It was by His Mercy and Grace, that He sent His Son Jesus Christ,
To be put to death in my place, in order that I may gain New Life.

God’s mercies are new each day, by His Love we’re not consumed,
And as I travel along my way, I know for me He’s prepared a room.
I’m not to lean on my understanding, but trust Him with all my heart,
He gives me peace, so commanding, that is with me from the start.

I’m not to let my heart be shaken, but trust in God and Jesus Christ,
For soon to Heaven, I’ll be taken, to begin and live my Eternal Life.
Friend, God’s Love is never failing, and it’s in God I place my Hope,
When Satan begins his railing, God’s abundant Mercy helps me cope.

Soon my friend, I’ll be home forever, to live eternally with my God,
To be plagued by trouble never, for all my enemies Christ will trod.
All my tears Christ will wipe away, when I see Him in heaven above,
And be with Christ forever to stay, surrounded by His Unfailing Love.

He's coming very soon, the signs are very clear,
And when that trumpet sounds, we’ll be otta here!

I like the rhyme scheme in this poem. It flows so beautifully and I so like that you wrote this poem as if it were you or the reader (myself) saying the words and that made this poem so much more personal and intimate and that is most definitely how our relationship with Jesus is.... Personal and Intimate. Commendations to you my friend. You did a Great job writing this one.

That was SO beautiful, Bob!! I loved reading every word! I have never been able to express all of those thoughts or feelings in one poem before and you did it incredibly well!! Thank you for sharing.
