Christmas Eve is Here

Christmas Eve at last is here.
Have you seen the star?
Have you heard the angels singing
carols from afar?
Listen, listen carefully
for the joyous sound.
On this holy Christmas Eve
wonders will abound.

As you leave the church and prayer
look for that bright light.
It may lead you straight to Him
on this special night.

Do you hear the cockerel crowing?
He should be abed.
Do you hear the cattle lowing?
It has long been said,
on this special night,
animals can talk.
You may see a little bunny
on your moonlight walk.
Watch her as she quickly scurries,
spreading the glad news;
Christ the King is coming soon.
There's no time to lose.

Listen, listen carefully
to the joyous sound.
