(This is part of a special present I wrote for my love Joanna's sister, Kim, who is also a very special friend and loves angels so I wrote this for her! )

"Flowers are the alphabet of angels,
whereby they write on the hills
and fields mysterious truths.

- Benjamin Franklin"

Watercolor Angels
By: Noah Eaton
10/17/02

Sleep, child, sleep
Rest your head on your stardust pillow
Let the sumptuous leaves breeze through your dreams
Swathe the stream of lifes mysteries
Watercolor angels guide you through the seasons
Painting teal peaceful days and mango suns
Renovating starry nights Van Gogh still paints
In tableaus of mauves with Seurat

If flowers are the alphabets of angels
Know that you have an angel guiding you as you sleep
Who loves you dear
Tucking you in where the light doesn't rest
Where the rainbows go swimming

Remember, child, remember
Of the peace you find deep in your soul
Make your own epoch of harmony
Rediscover how these great blessings came to be
It's all in the retina of Delacroix's "Andromeda"
All in what you believe
It is innocence we should all be living for
So let the montage begin
Amen...

If flowers are the alphabets of angels
Know that you have an angel guiding you as you sleep
Who loves you dear
Tucking you in where the light doesn't rest
Where the rainbows go swimming

Know the chiarascuro
Is all in the rainbow halo
Of the angel that holds you dear
Sleep, child, sleep
The angels will always be near
Holding you dear...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Aww Noah, that really did make me cry. Kim is lucky to have somone as loving and careing as you to watch over her. The images in your poem reminded me of a dream I had as a child. I love your work, it is so heartfelt.

Noah, dear sweet one, I don't know how I missed this one. I'm so glad somebody bumped it up here. This is so beautiful, Noah. You are certainly a good friend for anyone to have. Kim should be very thankful to have you for a friend. Thanks for sharing, sweet Noah.
Love To All,
Ethel

Noah, the first line of the poem I had just posted is "Sleep, baby, sleep" and the first line of the poem you just posted was "Sleep, child, sleep"---I guess we're two angels that think alike!

This write of yours is AWESOME !!!!!

I always wondered what an Angel might look like. I am now sure. Thank you.
