standing on a shadow's lace

Sea Song

I stood to watch
the surf go out
and to come back
to shore with intensity
covering all it could
in liquid shout
heard in words
of vapor density
it whispered stories old
from forgotten seas
the ocean holds echoes
in its depths of accept
where water knows
walking with the breeze
but never to reveal
the secrets kept

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

The sea always in motion, never going anywhere.......but deep and brooding. Enjoyed

quite cool. it feels so old, so ancient like the very  sea it speaks of and the secrets there held. nice.

it seems the sea's
never stop moving
with the waves
this is true
cause even when
it is calm
the tide
continues to move

A smile a day keeps the world in smile's.

I stand on the shore smelling the salt in the air as I listen and hear the descriptions
pour forth from your beautiful lips and I know the sirens sound will draw more sailors to the rocks for love is dangerous journey and I am a fool for your poetic style as are any who sail this sea of enchanted poems that you sing.

Hey Helen
good write

helen,
Dependable. Like you. Excellent write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

The tides of my memories,
Washing out,
Rip currents pulling at me,
Dragging my soul far away,
Pulling down,
Emotions lost in the spray
Of crashing waves on the beach,
Nature’s shout,
To ears my voice will not reach,
Alone with my memories,
In them drown
My aspirations to be.
Passing waves are battering,
Pounding out,
Untouched and not mattering
Terra firma place to stand,
Moves around
And I find just sifting sands.

Lady..this is simply beautiful. I miss reading here like this all day on my days off. Miss your work too. I'm always thinking of you and how you are.
