Between the Lines

I'm going back to bed, I think
and stay there for a while
and dream those dreams of yesterday
that left me with a smile.

I'm going back to close these eyes
and cover in the warm
of those that look upon my own
and capture me in form.

I hold onto the once befores
and once agains compelled.
and so I place my hands in yours
to nap in comfort, held.

for someonespecial

M

A warm, loving, cuddly nap sounds really good right now.
See, now I am work and can't nap! PHOOEY!

It's a rainy, dreary day here, and I found myself dozing in the recliner. It was all I could do to drag myself away from the daydreams. If I sleep now, I'll never sleep tonight. But a nap sure would feel wonderful right now. Get a few winks for me too M.

I don't sleep well anyway..but  I just couldn't resist the warmth of my bed...well it turns out my body was just trying to tell me it wasn't feeling well anyway...so  sometimes it's good to listen to what your body wants you to do..

We are expecting that rain and the dampness goes right through me.

Well Krissy there is always room for you in my heart...Cuddle up any time you wish

love and miss you too

I do like this quite a lot, Maureen.  Some very lovely lines here.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Maureen, this is so pretty. It's almost like you're singing a soft, sweet song. Thanks for sharing.

Maureen~ Such wonderful thoughts you bring to us with this lovely poem.
I don't sleep very well either and it always seems that when it's time to get up we want to sleep the most...Paul
