standing on a shadow's lace

Outpouring

I danced
within your eyes
although I was
standing still
somehow you
pour me out
all of me
rides in spill
to you I become
liquid language
in thirst you
drink me up
magically cold
turned to warmth
when your hand
touched the cup

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

A delight to drink
But you don’t mind if I admire the cup too?

Wow. That hit me hard. I'm not sure why, but I'll analyze it, and maybe come back. Thank you.

i love the way that you can start reading the poem at almost any line and coninue from their in a loop, to find a completely new poem.

Now, Helen, I like this, too, but not for the same reason all those guys above me do!!HeeHee!! If you've read any of my poems about me and my Gary, you can just imagine what I thought of when I read it. Let's just say that I had very sensual thoughts of me and him.

You do have a way with words ... uh, that's a definition of a poet, isn't it?

Very sexy...  and I just noticed that even the form -- I mean LITERALLY, the FORM of the poem is suggestive!  Curvalicious.

Nice poem. Enjoyed,.. Thank you for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Seems that you have found a new voice lately.
Or, maybe I just read better.
