What is death?
Death is life.
Does anyone ever die?
Or do they go on?

Death is a journey.
That will never end.
You always live
even when you die.

When you die,
you leave this world.
When you die,
You leave your body.

You think death is bad?
But why?
Why are you afraid of death?
Death is just leaving.

Death is good.
it makes room,
for who comes next,
in this world.

So you see,
death is good.
Death is just,
being free.

When you die,
there are no rules.
When you die,
you are free.
-------------------------
I know, it isnt that
good, but please,
tell me what you Do think

I'm coming back again, so I'm just making more room for myself.
Enjoyed the Q's in this.

Death is a release from all from the need for hope
The need for dreams
death is enernity
still but unknown

death is in everyone
it stalks hospital halls
and ill lit roads
it is all and sees all
because even universes die

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of  place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

I am not afraid of death, it's just the process of dying that freaks me out a bit! hehe

When my time does come, I hope I'll rise up to heaven with a prayer on my lips and a song in my heart.

Interesting and thought-provoking poem!

(sigh) Oh Chris, I too agree with you and Linda, I find death itself and the process of dying to be two very different things, and I do not fear death at all, yet I also find it important not to dwell on the though of death and to just accept it when it comes and just think of life till that day! (big hugggsssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Chris, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

This is an interesting poem. It makes a person stop
and think. You could tell that by the replies you've
received. Did I ever welcome you to Passions in Poetry? I think I did ,
but if I didn't...Welcome.

There are many questions here, and who can answer them honestly? I know of no one personally that has come back, or any that have let me know that they are around in spirit. We would like to believe in heaven and the life after, but religious or not, one believes but is not sure, the other unsure and wants to believe. While reading, it sounds as you have the answers and have been there, if that were true many questions of the unknown would be answered. When we die, do we just die and lie decomposing, do we rise and haunt, do we go to heaven and sit beside God, do we take the staircase down and burn with Satin. We all just guess as you. When we die, there is one more space to fill and we are gone, but in memories. As a fact that is all I know.
Connel; an interesting piece indeed, makes one sit back and think.
Keep writing and welcome to passions.

Hi Connel, I had to go back and read this, it is very thoughtful. I don't know the answers either. I tend to beleve we go on in some fashion, but I don't know exactly how.

Most people who have "near death" expiriences do not express negative thoughts about death.I have been clinicly dead three times. Each time I was less and less afraid of death. It is the unknown aspect of death that causes the fear.Don't fear the reaper.

Death...yeah, death and i go way back. Mmhmm.. we have history and all that. Yep...

Anyway, the questions posed in the piece are interesting to say the least. Don't fear our little otherworldy friend.

Thanks for posting.

The reason why i wrote this poem is because people everywhere are afraid of death, I dont bliam em. I used to be,  but then you just gotta keep telling yourself that itsa just the next part of your journey. Once you get it into your head that dieing isnt a bad thing.. You will start living a better life.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
