Cats are all over the neighborhood
But they seem to gravitate
To our back yard

My mom has got to feed them
But it keeps on bringing them in

One day she put food outside
I counted at the most
7 cats at once
On our back porch
But I have counted
Up to 12

If my mom would stop feeding them
They would stop coming
But she can't resist them

Everytime mom goes out of town
She gives you the rules
Of feeding the indoor cats
And the outdoor cats
What is up with that?

I mean I love the cats
But not as much as that
I am sick
Of having a slew of cats

Cold hands means a warm heart

I'm lucky. One cat, one dog, and a good life with you in it Julie.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

(sigh) Oh Julie, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, there is much responsibility behind caring for a dozen of kittens, ah, but who can help it, they are soooooooo adorable! (kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Julie,

We have a slew of cats at the barn, and as much as I love them I'm usually content with them staying at the barn and visiting with them then. This is a cute write.

Julie, I like this. I love cats, too, but I
only have one. My parents have six of their own.
Their "slew" of cats started with one that had
gotten lost, I think, and started staying there.
Anyway, those cat are lucky to have your Mom
to feed them....(and  YOU  when she's out of
town.....HeeHee !!!!!)

If I were there, I would be in heaven. I love cats, and it would be neat to have them all around you. Nice, funny poem

Sounds like a role reversal is happening here. Mom would always shout or say, "Don't feed them, they'll never go away!"

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
