Midnitesun ~  Sorry to hear that! I hope it
            wasn't from personal experience!

I wrote this after two of my daughter's fellow teachers had been poisoned with disastrous complications and ramifications.

Mysteria ~

Thank you! And that was a very "good message" that you so poetically expressed!

Even compassionately
We cannot touch them

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Linda, this is so very sad, my heart goes out to all the teachers and I pray this violence can end and both teachers and students can feel comfortable in the same learning environment! (sad sigh) You speak of this so well, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

how appropriate that I read this now...I've kinda sorta decided to return to college and finish up my degree to teach English. And yes, I do plan on teaching high school--and for some reason I do feel a particular calling to teach with a friend in an inner city high school...but? I do know the risks. I accompanied my friend to court after she was assaulted in her own classroom.

But I confided my little dream to my kids, and they begged me not to do it. They are afraid for me. My son actually said, "mom, you don't know what it's like out there..."

Someday I'll tell him that I do. But right now? I enjoy the love of his concern...and funny, I worry about THEM.

Thanks for this. We seem to be on the same cloud these days...

Linda, you have said a tremendous mouthful with just a few words. And what a wallop these words pack.

The most under rated, under paid worker in this country and by far THE most important. Something wrong with this picture.

And where are the parents of these hoodlums? And why are so many of these troublemakers soooo darn young?

I am climbing down off my soapbox now and apologize for going off.

Well said Ms. Angel ... Marti

Nan ~ Unfortunately, very true!

Noah ~  It certainly is a sad state of

SerenityBlaze ~

Teaching is a noble and worthwhile, albeit challenging, calling. Yes, there is violence in the schools, but I feel that that may be more the exception than the norm.

If the relationship you have with your own children is any indication, you would make an excellent teacher!---and you could maintain order in the classroom in your own unique manner! hehe

Wishing you all the best!

Unfortunately, that is a common scenario!

Marti ~

As far as I am concerned, you can stay on that soap box as long as you like! Violence in the schools is rampant and frightening and downright disconcerting!

There are far more good apples in the system but the bad apples are spoiling the sanctity and the safety of our schools.

Thanx for your impassioned reply!
