the wonderful land of oz

It’s lunch time,
and on the grounds
are skipping ropes
and psychology textbooks.

While children
jump
and run
and scream
and smoke.

And spit.

Skipping class to stand
and watch
mouths move,
turquoise dreams
fade away
with the dent
in mommy’s car.

[Cry me a river
you pointless child].

Cinnamon hearts
and open ankles,
these aching days
defined by black and white
pages
of pointless photos
dusted with time’s
lazy fingerprints.

And they never do grow up.

Flocks of green
and white,
the white of purity
grow together and scatter
in wild screams.

Her heels are too long
There's a smudge in her white
(double breasted shirt)-
her skirt's too short.

Ettiquette ladies, Hush.
Attention is to stand and
not draw
or breathe or
  laugh

The flocks are
effortlessly flawed.
Minds numbed with closed doors
and unbuttoned shirtsleeves
call after premature
dogma

I lost my muse once you cam online *shakes a fist madly*....

Well, up until I lost the point of that thing I was writing, I have to say that your impression of school was very different to what I'd been through. Eh, it's a weird world and things happen differently all the time, why was I so surprised?

Love what you do chicka...

Are you scared?                        BOO! Are you now?

I freakin' love this - you know I do. Still don't agree with the title but everything else is fabulous. It has such an innocent slant on it whilst being completely defiant. I never make any sense in your replies anymore.

I really did like it though, Jen. This would probably be one of the faves from you. *sigh* So many windows to look through, only a small amount of window cleaner.

Its strange when you find yourself rambling on without ever getting your point across, but just skimming the jist of it....welcome to my realm, sweets

i have this little black abyss stuck somewhere around my nose, but i'm not quite sure.  i just know it's somewere between my mouth and my brain, because everything i think gets sucked while trying to get to my mouth.

thus, i never make sense with ANYTHING i say.  because it's not really what i think.  i think?

now did that make any sense?

High school....bah...
Sometimes it was okay...and you want out so terribly badly- and then you get out, and it's like CRAP now I have to actually make something of myself. I graduated, now what? Real life is scarier than high school...and it's so much longer!!!

I don't want to grow up anymore.

This was really well done...made me think about things.

High school wasn't so bad.  Skipping ropes and psychology textbooks kinda grow on you.

Then again, so does athlete's foot.
