Entwined at times...this lady and girl...
Giggling at silly little things, crying too...
So sensitive, kind caring....

A woman born a girl, riding life’s
carousel of dreams, heartaches and realities...
The roller coaster of life carrying her along
on the wings of angels which inspire her
thoughts and feel of all that surrounds her.

Smothered by sins grasp...so small a girl.
A precious gift to all, loved by all, ‘cept one
who never knew the truth of love...
This little girl....God’s gift to the world.

Up the slope of feelings into the crash of
swirl in thoughts.....Laughing outside and
crying inside to be let out....  Please...
Please let me out, let me be, the dreams
that talk to her....reminders of then...awakening
to the fuzziness of the starkness....crying..

Growing, loving, caring, yet....so alone...
Wanting yet fearing...one small step...
Or one hurried leap into the unknown...
Falling, yet another lock of wed...falling..failing..

Let me out, it is safer outside...let me come play..
For now I know the wolf that calls the sheep...
I, this lady....once a girl.....still twirling, dancing,
smiling, sharing, caring, giving....and sometimes...
crying....

Look into her eyes, her words....you will see...
See this woman, beautiful....see the girl, the
precious little girl...riding a carousel...for two..

(big hugggssssss) Oh Barry, this is so gentle and so very graceful, I think the love of a woman and daughter is so precious and it brings tears to my eyes of its beauty! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Hello Barry

I could relate to so much of this.  My writing has brought me so much confidence, yet inside there is a timid girl who is often so unsure of herself.  Your words really moved me, as they often do.

Take care.....Sue

Barry, I can certainly relate to this poem and appreciate so much that it was written by a man. What a kind and sensitive man you are; not too many of your kind around!!!

I sent your words to my daughter, as so many of us are tough broads on the outside and little girls on the inside.

Thank you for this - it spoke volumes to me.  Hugs, Marti

Inside every "tough broad" is a little girl.
You handled this so very well, Barry...
Thanks for sharing it.

Barry

I think you have captured the little girl in many a lady.  Beautifully done!

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy
