I walked away so lonely
That tears did not work
In steps so hollow
That nothing followed

I climbed the mountain of despair
Into the fringes of reality
Looking into the horizon
As piercing eyes met mine

In a chill of an awakening
In the whispers of thoughts
I knew I was still special
For one tear told me so

To see one's reflection
of worth
in a tear
is to continue going on...

I relate to the first verse all too well... this is an excellent write... just painful to read. *S* Well done!

soul searching..can be the most painful, yet in the end, when as you put it, you have that awakening, it's also the most fulfilling thing in the world.
