the clock has just struck four
i'm tired, so very, very tired
the lids of my eyes are becoming heavy
and I can barely keep them open
my breathing is slower, deep and even
the rhythmic cadence is drawing me
nearer to the brink of obscurity
i am slowly sinking into a black abyss
from which there is no return
my nodding head begs to be laid to rest
it is increasingly difficult to function
but function I must for I have work to do
and responsibilities that are mine alone
i must not succomb to nature's bidding
but oblivion threatens to overtake me
it's quiet, so very, very quiet
my hold on reality is slipping
i'm falling into the downward spiral
deeper and deeper
i...zzz...zzz...zzz...
zzz...zzz..
zz...
z..
.

Dark Angel, 'bty' I most certainly did take it as a compliment that you want to read this poem again before you go to bed tonight!
Hope it helps you slip off to sleep perchance to slumber! Night! Night! Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Love, Light & Laughter
Linda

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Linda, this is powerfully emotional, sweet friend, sometimes I feel this oblivion too when I am lost in my doldrums of loneliness when I yearn for Joanna but know through the night He will always supply you with His blanket of light! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
