(Here's a poem for another special friend to us all, who always makes me smile with her wonderful surreal words that you can actually feel rising and falling like nature. You are so special to us all and your words always feel like an art gallery to me I see in my mind, God Bless You, this is for you Lauren! )

Shades of Green Eyes
By: Noah Eaton
9/21/02

From behind framed windows of sea glass green eyes
Where poetry weavers manufacture Van Gogh illusions
Where unfinished thoughts hang silently like tinsel from trees
Shines the heart of our friendly sorceress

What eyes can not see she sees through fragments of poetic music
Trinkling words down the canvas like raindrops of Xanadu
Opening boxes of clouds, losing us in dreams and vertical horizons
Her compassion like xylose to our souls, bringing medicine down that soothes

She glissades in a ballet of shades
Celebrating her kin, a step-daughter of Solomon
Reveling colors and atmospheres, sparking her son et lumiere
Tangling the moonlight and melting candles with surreal insight

Where the willow tree grows is where butterflies elapse
She being our youthful butterfly, everyones inseperable sister
Her every breath like the release of an evanescent angel
That you can't see but can feel dancing with sonatinas in color blizzards

She comes conquering our hearts with a masquerade of splendor
Evoking passion like orchids and snow, with words that somersault
Bearing the name of Lauren, our green-eyed goldfinch
Spilling tears of gorgeous words

            that cascade

                     slowly

                          like

                              raindrops

                                   down

                                       through

                                             our

                                               hearts...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Noah now you just knew this wouldn't get by me without seeing it and am I ever glad that it didn't slip through while I wasn't here.
This captures every essence of Lauren and her wonderful sharing and caring heart, her sensuality and gift of vision.  Oh Noah, this is a gem she will treasure forever and thank you for writing this for our precious

You are pretty darn precious yourself ya know?  BIG hugs to you.

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...

Noah, this is just beautiful. You have captured the essence of lovely Lauren. Chris

Yea... it's just like you that way Julie. I love this poem.

What is life without poetry and adventure?

Noah,
I couldn't agree more. Nice job.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
