so Balladeer is Michael
I’m so out of the loop
I just go by all those pseudonyms
and get caught up in the hoop
la

well, of course a happy birthday,
and if I had some more talent
I’d create a cake for cyber space
that wouldn’t take a mallet
to cut

or if I weren't stuck here in this chair
somewhere around the world
I’d wave to you a birthday flag
that was summarily unfurled
yes!

now if what I’m saying
doesn’t make one ounce of any sense
and you can find a way
for me to make some recompense
call

but mostly, Michael’s Balladeer,
have a lovely, lovely time,
rhyming or metering
in this lovely summer clime
but

if you live somewhere down south
in a hemisphere of earth
that is called as down under
by those of northern birth
then

build a snowman, have some stew
snuggle up beside the fire
and with someone special
find a sweet way to conspire
celebrating

If we had only one Michael, ‘twould be easy to see
But there is more than one or two, or even three
So each takes a pseudonym, each and every one,
But when it comes to Balladeer, that’s where you find fun!

Well, snowman-building in Florida is not too common of an occurence, VAS, but maybe I'll just make a little sandcastle on the beach instead and pretend.

(giggles in delight_ Yep, we sure do have a lot of Michaels, don't we, I think I may be the only Noah and you the only Virginia on the site thougj, while we have Michael the Balladeer, Michael Auguste, Michael the LongJohn, and so many others! LOL! This is a beautiful birthday wish for our wonderful friend, sweet friend, God Bless You, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL (the Balladeer one), we all love you so much!
