Each time it shattered
some pieces were lost
in the mending of my heart
each time it fell apart.

So it grew ever weaker
as it became smaller
but mend it I tried
with the tears I cried.

Every time it cracked
it would spread rapidly
until it just shattered
until nothing mattered.

I came to the conclusion
this heart made of glass
just needed to be changed
it's atoms rearranged.

So I built another one
this one out of love
the strongest force known
especially when it's shown.

It takes the pain better
it hasn't shattered yet
if broken..it will mend
for this love can never end.

I chose it for this reason
this love strong and true
to build me a heart brave
with all the love you gave.
