In a moment of weakness I thought of you today Recalling all those precious memories of yesterday Behind eyes that hide so much, I feel your pain I knew you were thinking of me too--when I looked outside and saw the rain I thought about when we called each other lover and friend The days we thought that you and I would never end We were in a fantasy world baby, we both know it's true Still this does not erase the love I feel deep inside for you The tears started to form behind my eyelashes...they came close to falling down But then I caught myself and chased away my blues By recalling your laughter, and I still feel your presence around We must go on moving forward, and not continue to look back at what might have been Then maybe one day we can come back together the very best of friends I know that you are hurting, you and I are very much one in the same Together though apart, we can deal with this...face this loss and pain One day the sky will be blue again, this you will come to see Maybe then it won't be so hard to think of you thinking of me Tomorrow is a new beginning, one full of hope and love Just remember we still share the same sky that hangs high above When you feel alone, and you are feeling scared Remember me--the person who will always love and care Though you won't hear my voice, if you listen with your heart...you will still be able to hear me Just now you and I don't have to live the pain anymore...we are free "if irish eyes are smiling...they are probably up to something" :) |
