Weapons...
of mass destruction.
What are they, anyway?
I think WORDS
are often
the primary weapons.
Some people seek
to destroy
civilization
as we know it.
Sometimes I agree
that it should be destroyed.
For as we know it,
it all-too-often
is lacking in
Empathy,
Compassion,
Understanding,
Integrity,
Forgiveness,
Spirituality,
Love,
Peace.
Do we put our weapons down?
Or do we redesign them?
Be as careful with words
as you must be
with a loaded gun.
Careless words
can be lethal weapons.
Weapons of mass destruction.

"Careless words can be lethal weapons
Weapons of mass destruction".

So true! Careless words exchanged between heads of countries have indeed brought mass destruction.

I can feel your passion in your writing.

Oh how I agree with you on this one, Kacy...
Whether it be political or personal...
Words are as dangerous as nuclear missiles.
I wrote a poem about the personal side of this issue a little while ago before you returned to us...
I will try to re-post it for you.

This was great. Words once released from the mouth cannot be taken back.

Words of Mass Destruction. This really says a mouth full.  (pun intended)

Kacy, as usual, you hit the nail right on the head

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Yes I believe in the power of words to lift up or destroy...words of life or words of death...James
