The day was hot and sultry
The air was damp and still
The savage beast
With claws unsheathed
Moved swiftly for the kill

The wind was raised in whisper
The birdcalls ceased to trill
The victim there
Though unaware
Was certain of the ill

The sun it shone in gleaming
Above the treetops tall
The prey had moved
By silence proved
Escaped the captors thrall

The day was hot and sultry
And sweat was trapped in fall
As captor's prey
Moved swift that day
And lost the flight in stall

With fluttered wing of wandering
Made brighter by the day
The victim there
Who did not care
Then swiftly flew away

The predator distaining
Inclined his head away
The game was done
He'd had his fun
The hunter lost the prey

The day was hot and sultry
As wings flew far from earth
On coloured wing
Flies freedom's ring
While kitten showed his worth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth darling sister of my heart, and my soul’s voice, this was and is utterly utterly perfect. I truly was captivated by this and the ending was utterly perfect. You know I love this don’t you darling mmmm of course you do. You mix sunlight and shadow so well I’m always awed by your skill. As for the rhythm of this and its form it is absolutely fabulous

Anyway this is another utterly utterly perfectly penned poem from you and I absolutely love it. Thank you for lifting the gloom and muddle that so often clouds the night, truly exceptional. And adding life to my life

Love and warm stuff

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
