Sometimes there is this breeze
that paints my sky nameless
I see freedom
I feel quiet redemption
and it doesn’t matter anymore
if I wallflower
This dance is mine

Life feels like a long flowing dress
Red and pretty
when I let the dust settle

I want you there
when things start spinning
and bass notes clamber
to be a song
You don’t have to dance along
just smile

These driftnotes
start coming on
and swirling me a starry night

Do you mind if we climb
There is this.. shining thing
I have to do something about

When all is said and done
nothing will sound the same
Because change
lies naked when we turn our backs

Unafraid, unashamed
until we are the same

(smiles) Oh Regina, this is wonderful, sweet friend, yes, we must always look ahead and do what we can to change from our wrongs and spread our roots of our hearts to the walls of life and bloom flowers over the walls to the gardens beyond! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Change can be frightening, Reg...
it can also be welcome...
but it is always always naked, especially when its unexpected.

I loved this.

Reg,
You do know how to sweep me off my feet! Wow...maybe I should try wallflowering.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I haven't read you for awhile and that has been my loss.  I could read this over and over.  It's somehow hypnotizing (in a good way...lol).

Seems like nothing remains the same anymore,
but that isn't such a bad thing.
I would rather deal with the changing times, than have regrets that I didn't cease the moment!!

You are truly a splendid writer Regina~

You have a uniqueness about your poetry...
sometimes I can start from the bottom
and read up...a different perspective, but
still...always...lovely poetry...

Of course it is smooth and full of metaphorical delight but there is more I believe. (exposure?)
Okay, so maybe this one needs to be broken down piece by verse........so here ya go

Sometimes there is this breeze
that paints my sky nameless
I see freedom
I feel quiet redemption
and it doesn’t matter anymore
if I wallflower
This dance is mine
===================

Not all songs need a title, especially the ones that reside in our heart and dreams.  We know they are ours and ours alone and that in itself is enough to quiet the most restless of souls.
===================
Life feels like a long flowing dress
Red and pretty
when I let the dust settle
===================

Taking a deep breath and looking at the things going on in our life with a positive attitude can,
and usually does, teach us the difference between reality and the things that are presented to be reality.
===================
I want you there
when things start spinning
and bass notes clamber
to be a song
You don’t have to dance along
just smile
==================

Change is inevitable in this life and sometimes chaotic ... when we find ourselves being pulled by happenings in our life, it is always nice to have the support of those we care about even if all they do is cheer from the sidelines and trust us to be able to tie the ends up neatly.
==================
These driftnotes
start coming on
and swirling me a starry night
==================

A passion to answer something deep inside us sort of like a whim that holds the promise of a higher understanding after accomplishment.
==================
Do you mind if we climb
There is this.. shining thing
I have to do something about
==================

It is always better to be able to share the adventure and/or burden  with someone close ... growing together only strengthens the bonds and removes humility in comfort.
=================
When all is said and done
nothing will sound the same
Because change
lies naked when we turn our backs
=================

Life isn't recorded for replay ... it writes a new script everyday and we either gain strength from it or we become vulnerable based on how we act or react to it.
================
Unafraid, unashamed
until we are the same
Whether alone or shared, peace and harmony only exist when acceptance is equal to the expectationss.

I may have missed this one big time but if so, I at least enjoyed putting my spin on it.  So do I still have my saddle or am I off to the pawn shop.  If I did miss, then I reckon I will just have to go back with a different mindset and re-read this lovely piece.  If nothing else, this should go to show you that your works inspire some of us to actually try to reach deeper and find a level of comprehension that hits for us.  After all, all art forms are interpreted and that is the beauty of it.  Yes, of course I enjoyed it!  Let's face it .......... you ARE good and we read you because WE know it.

Recognize love for the gift it is and not a need that is out of focus.

Reg, dear somy~  change can sometimes be downright scarey but change can also be a good thing...and I know my somy~  and anything that she chooses in her life will be what is right for her.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
