It's long, but worth reading, it's a ROFLMAO

I'll tell you a fairy tale that took place just yesterday
in meadows green, something
I've never seen

You know this Balladeer lamb
who had to be bottlefed because
his Mom had no milk at all?
Well he did fine and is running around
like little lambs do
Today I passed by just to inspect
if everything was alright and there it was,
a tiny little lamb, black as black can be

I thought this can't be, every ewe I own
has already given birth there was no one left
to whom this lamb could belong to
And then came Balladeer's Mom
Blaa Blaa to this little thing, licking and caring
I thought "where did you hide this lamb, it's just not possible"
She walked away and between her legs
I saw this huge udder full of milk

I thought I'd gone insane or something
she had her lamb in March!!
it's just not possible she has one again in June!!!
And it was at this point a memory came back from last year
when this ewe tried to steal a lamb from another ewe
days before she got her own.
I thought "you little devil, you did it again,
under my very eyes and I didn't see".
I drove fast to my house to check on the pc
wich ewe had lambed that same night
and had only one (left)

It appeared to be ewe Anneke, a white one
lambed for the first time
I had to take her home that night for she
needed a shot for udder inflammation.
And I took her little female lamb too
that being Chipmunk.
So I gather, right after Anneke had given birth to two
this ewe Silky thought, "Oh you have two
and I have none (yet) so I'll lend
the little Balladeer if you don't mind
and so she nursed the Deer
not being able to feed it though
but that was just a minor problem in her mind

And being just born a little lamb takes to the one
he sees first and hears first
So when I came again in the morning
that's what I saw
Balladeer running along his 'Mother's' side
and I had no idea it wasn't hers
So next year I have to watch this lady very carefully
when the other ewes are lambing
For there's no doubt she's a good mother
but I don't want to raise her stolen lambs every year

So I've decided to call him Seymour
A little black lamb, born out of a fairy tale
Well, miracles do happen, but this was just a setup
by a ewe who just didn't want to wait.

So that ewe pulled the wool over your eyes, Titia? Tha Balladeer would always follow the first breast offered him...and who could blame so many for wanting to be that cute little fellow's mother? I thought only goats got kid-napped! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story...

My brother Seymour....now THAT could take some getting used to!

Well actually, Balladeer happens to be Chipmunk's full brother!!!

And Seymour? It took me half a hour to grab that little fellow, for he was running like hell

Ha ha I just love those sheep, they came together and said: "Let's fool that dumm Dutchie"!! Well they sure had their laughs.

I loved your story.  I find so much entertainment in watching animals play and interact with eachother.  They are a lot smarter than they're given credit for.  Tricky little buggers too!!!

Titia,
Thank you for the honor of naming the lamb after me. You will have to keep me up to date on its progress. Delightful write.
