Wants and needs beyond all reason
Thoughts and feelings intermingle
Hot or cold demands the season
As all senses thrum and tingle

Eyes, first wide, then closed in passions
A full-bodied sun is setting
Light submits to darker rations
Primal appetites are whetting

Lunge and plunge after the treasure
Pure lust hunting a fresh reward
Seeking, searching out the pleasure
O, put heart's conscience to the sword

Friend or foe, no longer waiting
For the kill or for the mating.

Love,
Bonnie

A beautiful raw feeling of sensuality in these lines, Bonnie...

I really loved the whole poem.

...for the kill, or for the mating...

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.  I liked this!
