In blink of honeysuckle night and color go
Against the pallet dark without a stop to know
My heart will dance this beat attuned to see
Each flicker so romantic as it merries me

The on and off of every flit in sign
About the shadowed lilac blooms in fine
The essence of a smile in perfect when
The flight of tiny bulbs upon the wing again

In rhythm of a cheery inspiration winks
Another note to take of simply happy blinks
A part of what the summer claims to benefit
The dancing light and all the most to make of it
