I'd loved and lost so many times
My faith was all but gone
The last one REALLY did me in
She rammed the blade on home

Blaming me for all her wrongs
I knew she wasn't right
Still, I felt I was at fault
As alone I'd lay at night

Suffering this deadly blow
Was more than I could bear
Waking up took all my strength
For I knew she wasn't there

So many nights I'd walk the floor
My head hung down in shame
Heavy from the loss of love
Whose death I was to blame?

I mapped my guilt with paper trails
To find my way back home
Along the way I found this place
To give me back my throne

I posted feelings never shared
To unseen reading eyes
And thanks to all the friendly hearts
I finally feel alive

I want to thank everyone who has shared with me and read my posts. Without your eyes to read them, I would still be in my hell....alone.

A bird never flies so high that it can't hit the ground

your writing is lovely. You'll continue to grow as you are here. I know I did. Enjoyed this.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

I can mirror your hell
and drown deep within
But I can't stand the sorrow
written by friends...

This is a "ditto" poem Kris...

the things we put up with in the name of love sometimes...

Take care sweets,

I felt your pain in this poem. You are what makes this place so magical. You share your soul with us and in turn, help others to share theirs.

(smiles) Oh Kristopher, we are all so blessed to have you as a true friend to all our hearts, sweet friend, I know exactly how you feel because when I was here for my first 8 montths, I was unnoticed by all the poets here then when I began to give more, I have found a coterie of delight! (sigh) This is excellent and heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kristopher, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sometimes a place to put our thoughts at first becomes a refuge, then a reason, then takes on a life-force of its own, and we, in its embrace, become a new person...

Welcome home...
