Harleys are for goobers
who like to spend their dough
antiquated leaking hulks
a dilemma just for show

If you ask any biker
who's really worth his salt
He'll make no lame excuses
for the "Kawi" that he bought

"Thats a nice rice burner"
say all the Harley louts
condescending, snickerings
to mask their own self doubt

So listen Mr. Harley,
you live in your wet dream
the earth is round, but you're still square
deluded , screwed, and reemed

Twenty grand for garbage
which bears the Harley seal
imaginary manhood
metallic sex appeal

Next time your Harley fails you
smoke and oils all you see
I'll wave as I ride past you
rice burns real clean for me.

Bags123,
Still have my bike licence but haven't ridden in years. This really took me back.

Does this means, the biker wars begin?

Thanks for reading, no sunshine this doesn't mean a biker war, only a war of words. Darkstranger...I don't know if I'll be around for another 30 years, but if I am I'll probably have at least 10 more bikes. Resale is one thing, performance another.
LOL-good riding.

well, living in ukiah with my girlfriend 30min away in willits ... we've just been witness to the "mendocino run" ... and it was, how did i hear it put? "mostly full of rough and tough yuppie weekend warriors" on harleys. *sigh* .to see them all striving so hard toward their images. and, the occassional rice burner swept through, and the rider looked pretty natural with the bike, not like someone trying to put on a show.

I loved my Harley and my Hondas, but I revered my "kamakazis."  What I wouldn't give to find an old, reconditioned Voyager; the only bike that truly fit this 6'4" frame
