A lullaby for sleeping
Is what I bring to you
Given safe within your keeping
Those dreams to see you through

You wander through the dreamtime
With sleep upon your eyes
I'll watch you in the meantime
With wonder and surprise

May blessed dreams of starlight
Speed you on your way
Embraced within the one light
That brings the break of day

As soft you sleep in dreaming
Your eyes begin to show
The pleasure in this seeming
And all that you will know

The moonlight glimmers lightly
Upon your frowning brow
I think of you more sprightly
While you are sleeping now

The rainbow bridge of sleeping
Calls you to dream anew
And as I watch you, weeping
My love is turned to you

In the darkness wending
Your love reveals the way
Those rainbow dreams I'm sending
Are yours to keep always

In sleep I watch you breathing
Your eyelids flutter soft
You still my core of seething
And lift my heart aloft

I love to watch you sleeping
As dreams take over you
And know you're in my keeping
In all that you can do

So starlight dreams I'm sending
In wish to help you sleep
May dawn's light never ending
Help you, your spirit keep

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Hey Lady Keth...this is such a tender side of you, the love that is so evident melted my heart. I love lullabyes too. Just wish they worked...(I was the kind of kid, who would light a lighter and scream "encore!")

So...? smiling...

Encore!!!!

Keth darling sister of my heart and holder of crystal dreams filled with rainbow’s hue. You know I’m going to say this is utterly utterly gorgeous don’t you. of course beloved sister you KNOW, you always do.

The whole poem is crafted in wonder these two verse are especially beautiful, I love it. A perfect and outstandingly written piece of starlight, I utterly utterly love it

The rainbow bridge of sleeping
Calls you to dream anew
And as I watch you, weeping
My love is turned to you

In the darkness wending
Your love reveals the way
Those rainbow dreams I'm sending
Are yours to keep always

Across the bridge of sleepy sighs
Dreamers walk beneath blue skies
Gather bits of rainbow’s hue
To decorate their souls anew

Your lullaby caresses me
Fills me with luminosity
Takes me back to that place
Where I left the human race

Upon the bridge I’ll wait for you
Until the day fades from view
In rainbow’s dreams we will play
Until the start of another day

Marsha

You know I simply love this don’t you? Of course you do

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Autie Kethp I wub you, this has got to be one of the dreamiest writes ever. So soothing to the soul so soft lying against the mind. Like a tender touch of a loved one. This really is one of your best. Mum is so rite you are a writer extrodinaire.

I love this poem I really do.

Sweet Kethry *s*
only a pure soul of moonlight could have felt and written
this wonderful poem of peace before sleep.

Each verse is better than the previous.

This was so very sweet and endearing. I enjoyed the vison-like quality of the profound love and tenderness it portrayed. Reminded me of an old song...a lullaby I used to enjoy...called Dormi, Dormi, Dormi. Beautifully penned Kethry!
