I see a little girl sitting all alone.
With no one to care or no home.
She hasn't had a bath in days.
No love has seemed to come her way.
I ask here where's her mom or dad?
She hangs her head and looks so sad.
My dad left a long time ago.
And then we had to leave our home.
Mom and I, we lived on the street.
Nothing but strangers, did I meet.
Mom became very sick one night.
Then I was filled with so much fright.
I try to hide as much as I can.
For there's so much that I don't understand.
Would you let me try and help you out?
Let me show you what life's all about.
Then she put her hand in mine.
And we walked together in time.
I took her and bought some clothes to wear.
I showed her how people could care.
Then she went in and took a bath.
And I swear I could've heard a laugh.
I called to take the steps to keep her with me.
For she was a precious child in need.
The process wasn't easy, but I towed the road.
To try and make this child my own.
The day she was given to me.
So many tears, that I couldn't see.
And then she showed me that beautiful smile.
And I knew it was worth it all the while.
God had given me an angel from above.
An angel to give all of my love.
