they tell you where to sit, stay
and you do
quite contentedly
anticipating their return
counting on their favor
but that’s not really what they want

women are funny
and warm and soft
my downfall
every time
she meets my eye
holds my gaze
I must learn
to look away
first

(smiles) This is so very cute, sweet friend, I too think women are such a delight in this world and if only all man can be fair and faithful to them, I am sure every woman would let a man love her!
