It’s distant yet
The rumble if you listen
Can be heard to roll
In low feral growl across
Tree lined horizon
With a bass that panes
In sympathy rattle with

Lying here with you
I can feel the vibrations
Resonate in you as well
While the windows reflect
Distant lightening dances
That break on the ceiling
As if shards of liquid glass

Squall lines move quickly
This time of year
Driven by cold fronts left
From long winter nights
That collide with warmer currents
Of passing time

with your distance yet
to be determined

Somedays I find something on here that I just have to nod at...and try not to smile in recognition.

had one of these this afternoon...first of many this spring and summer in St.Lou.
your imagery is as impressive as the lightening was today...felt your words like the thunder.

I have missed your quiet wisdom so much.
This is gorgeous writing.
Reads like a hug.

Yes, those are nice lines Cpat~
Could almost hear the disturbing sound
of thunder that rattles outside the window.
