Wait For Me

Will you wait for me beyond the blue through limbs of cedar white
Will you wait for me when skies no longer spread a starry night
Through season of the golden maple, leaves of crimson red
Will you be there when the fields are brown and woodland trees are shed

Can your heart contain its longing through the days of frozen lake
Through whistling songs of blowing pines, the white of crystal flake
Can I count on you to be there when the winter ices thaw
And little brooks are swollen where the mountain waters fall

Can your love wait through the gentle rains of April’s lazy days
Will your heart be waiting for me through the mist of morning haze
When the sun dries dewdrops beaded on the blades of springtime green
Will your eyes contain the portrait of a love so long unseen

Through the lavenders and yellows and the blues of May delights
Will the power of our love withstand the dark and lonely nights
Can you wait to be together in the early days of June
When through the white of cedar limbs, the light of marble moon

Well there you go again making that look so darn easy.  I tried to answer it on paper for fun, and didn't get past the second line - you are just good that's all!  This was absolutely glorious writing Liz.
