For God So Loved The World

Even in those days there were some that didn't want to believe in him.
They mocked him...how dare he say he was the Son of God.
He looked like a mere man to them...surely only a mortal man entertaining thoughts that he was more important than he appeared.
Why was he trying to elevate himself above all the rest?
Jesus was only a carpenter wasnt he?
No more or no less.
But why would they want to crucify a carpenter.
A man that used wood and nails and hammers in his profession now to suffer as the tools of his trade were used against him in Gods name to hang him on a cross of shame.
Was it the miracles he performed that turned some against him.
Was it blind eyes that could not or did not desire to see.
Or was it just another opportunity to deny the presence of a living God?
The prophecies did speak of a Messiah coming upon the earth.
But this Messiah would not be a mortal man as they believed Jesus to be.
Would he?   Of course not.  So they thought.
Many thought he would come with ten thousand angels and proclaim the Kingdom of God.
Claiming to be the Son of God is a story any man could contrive.
Yet how many could be crucified and by some miracle survive?
For the prophecy did say that he would rise on the third day.
Only those that are touched by the Spirit of God know the true fulfilling of the prophecy.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
