Dirty shadowed alleyways
Where the light seldom touches
Dwell the fractured minds of day,
With dreams for sutures.
Grime smeared walls preferred to white
Beams of voltage screams
Searing fantasies with the light,
As they carry you
To sleepless plastic places
Binding all moving
With their smiling masked faces,
Always clean sheets
But nothing for the numb cold
Questions getting pain
So you exist in a fold,
With speechless seeing
In blurs of misplaced glasses,
But in this being,
Desire for glances passes;
All is just the same
Cleaned with precision movements
Well-Trained workers
Gallons of disinfectant,
And lack of caring.
But they are no longer mine,
I have left them now,
Preferring the walls of grime
Alleys of trash piles
And unconcerned sad faces
Clean memories
Fresh vision from old places.

Professor,

!!! Oh, my....!!!

I can come up with several different meanings/scenarios.

This is almost stunning...no, it is stunning, (for this mind)  My chin on my chest, this is one to read over many times.

I liked, among many lines:

"With dreams for sutures"

Interesting read, thank you, Pat

..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons..
        "Desiderata"

Thank you, regards2you,
Pleased you enjoyed and that it has some readability

Thank you, Garysgirl & Brad Majors,
Glad to hold your interest for the moment

Thank you, Seymour,
My years are as winter,

Thank you, Nakdthoughts,
Pleased to see your response,
I tend to poke at old memories pull at old scars,
But all tendencies are to the darkness of gloom

Thank you, passing shadows,
Your comments are a pleasure

Gloom
