Just a note:
I recently had a foot surgery done and was very impressed with the wonderful care
I received by a group of orthopedic nurses.
To all the nurses out there,
I think you ought to know how much
your work means, and how much it's appreciated!!

They plump up my pillows, and give me a pan
They scurry about and fulfill all demands
Their hours are long for the pay they receive
And the pay's not enough for the tasks they achieve...

I watch as they cater to each person's needs
A smile there to ease some uncomfortable deeds
Their skills are apparent to the ones who can see
And their patience is welcomed by patients like me...

Though I don't plan on too many hospital visits
The care I've received there has been most exquisite
To bring this to end, a few words simply put
To my nurses, I thank you...and so does my foot!!

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy soul, and let the magik happen!  ~~S~~

Oh yes! There are some really good and kind nurses in the hospitals. This is a wonderful tribute to them all. I hope you are recuperating well.

Hi Noah, and thank you!!  Yes, they are the angels when you're lying there unable to do for yourself....bless them!

Hi Sue! and thank you for your nice wishes. Yes, my foot is coming along nicely, but I suppose the pain pills help!!

Hi Brad, and some things just require a bit of laughter...especially at how independent you thought you were, and then all of a sudden you realize that you need the help of others!! Thank you, my friend!!!

Sunny, this is a beautiful tribute to nurses. I've had to be in the hospital a lot of times because of my back and my lungs. I had some very good nurses.

Everything sounds good with the nurses...over here they recently had some nurses strikes for more pay and benefits...there were lots of disruptions...James

As a sister in white (no, I'm not a nun, I'm an angel! tehe), I thank you for appreciating our profession---and I am so happy that the care you received was so caring!--Otherwise, we nurses could have gotten a bad name on the net! lol

I am also a footcare specialist and a reflexologist, so I can "triply" empathize with your experience!

Hi Ethel, and thank you.....yes, when you are in hospital, your care can make or break how quickly you recover.  I just had to voice my wonder at the hard job those angels do!!

Hi James, and yes, sometimes it is necessary for the medical folks to demand more, even though it does disrupt things.  It's been my experience, that even with the disruptions, they are still a caring group of folks who deserve better pay.

Hi Linda, and I thank you for the good wishes for my sore foot!!!  LOL!!! Yes, I just couldn't help making it known that my experience was a good one, and that medical care-givers deserve to be recognized for the jobs that they do.  Now I'm off to my couch to put my bigfoot back up!!!
