After the rain pours down
puffing cumulus clouds
and the sky turns blue
changing hues
I shouldn't care
if you get my drift
I'm on my own
turning about
banking on the wind.

It's all in a day
just a matter of time
to pass away
until the sun shines though
and my heart takes shape
leaving ripples in the shallow end.

Like a clean break
or a slow intake
rising tides
mixed with emotions
ebb and flow
one wave at a time
breathing deep
exhale in
ride it out
lean to the left
easy now~

That does it! I missed this one when it was first posted, and that was a loss.

Now I wonder if there are other gems waiting for me, and I'm going to read Forum 25 from bottom to top, rather than top to bottom....

i like this imagery...sometimes they are waves.  Ending with a witty smile...enjoyed!

Well I guess I was trying to slow myself down and go with the flow, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.     Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read this.

I'm always a little flustered when I see an older poem of mine bounced back up to the top.  Thank you Ed for that little gem, it was a nice surprise.
