Are my political views too rough?
That's really a shame,
for you know full well
I'll always be here for you,
even when the going gets tough.

it doesn't always hand out
Valentine's hearts on a silver plate.
Sometimes it kicks you out
of the starting gate
before you're ready,
and you find yourself
heading down the stretch
without any secure reins.

I told you once before
I would not follow the lead horse
if he chose to follow
the lane outside
of my chosen parameters.
And even if everyone declares
him a winner,
I will run this race
at my own pace,
and stay in my
solitary lane
to the end.

And it's OK
for you to choose your own lane.
I will still be here for you
when all the ribbons are gone.

sometimes the distancing is simply needed to allow everyone to breath..don't you think.I commend the attitudes..especially the I'll still be here for you...

(big hugggsssssss) It's all about perspective, only though you approach the same destination, it doesn't mean you are the same color or equally proportionate, and I think that is something we all must understand!
