A whimper
a whine,
one more
half hearted
scratch
upon your
door

maybe ..
just maybe
you'll let me in

rolled paper lessons
guilt bowl drinks
tale chase vertigo

Layers
I've grown
never enough
to stave off
the profound chill
of  silence
and neglect
my gift
for
obedience?

your words
so striking
chilling to the bones
with cold reality
its axe
plunges from years of ache

You wow me. this has got to be one of my favourites from you my friend.

This is so well written, keeping the theme all the way through.

I like:

"Tail chase vertigo"

This is interesting and think we all can relate in some way, at some time.

Enjoy your talent,

Hugs, Pat
