Tread carefully
across the paths
of beliefs
avoid the land mind!

The explosive
hatred and ignorance
that lies beneath
the surface of dogma

The promise of
bringing you closer
to a god yet further
from one another

Loved the metaphor, Raph.
Yes, land mines/land minds.
Grounded within violence?
Peace to you across the borders, the ones created by an artificial political belief in separation.

in a daliesque moment
i slipped through the cracks
into another dimension...
one without tension
or apprehension

but the surreality of it
didn't hold me long enough
to escape...
the black box
is still too square
and i am still trapped in there
seeking...
the circle of light
i sense is out there
somewhere
****************
a poem of mine from last year
re-posted here,
for you,
in another
daliesque moment

the landmine being that of which we are taught and expected to except as belief -
trust in your belief and not that of what has been brought forth to you on a platter.  My way of seeing it anyhow.
As always - brilliant xxoo

Ironically yours truly was very religious grwoing up..but then I got smart. Besides me and altar boy? I was a cute kid but I don't think i was the priest's type.

There's always a good message from you Raph, it just takes me a while to get it.

I think we have to be at peace with the person we've become and leave it at that.
And if I burn in hell then so be it!
But I won't!

Raph, just wanted you to know that I read
and that it made me think........

But, I just won't comment about your philosophy
because I totally believe that everyone has
a right to their own personal beliefs.

Ethel I'm not against the philosphy of religion..ok well i am but not against people or beliefs. It's when those beliefs drive people further apart
