Don’t Leave Me In Silence

don’t leave me
in silence
because you think
it is only words
maybe it is some
I never heard
one that could
wrap me up at night
spoken in pleasure
at dawns first light
evaporate all
of my salty tears
replacing trust
where once were fears
whisper it, chant it,
sing it, say it in shout
amazing what words
can bring about
just
don’t leave me
in silence

"Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread."

Beautifully written! Although I would say, listen carefully! Silence often speaks volumes. Often mere words are but useless noise. Silence can speak wonders to the soul. Do not actions often speak louder than words?

exactly - the weight of silence is more unbearable than the sting of heavy-handed words. you've grasped onto that here with a firm hand showing the combination of despair and defiance that made this a good piece.

Wouldn't think of it

Silence may speak like words but

you can not answer
