Comes forth the spring in verdant glory,
Time of lent, of Easter's story,
Greening of the Kansas plains,
Begat of Eostre's birthing rains,
Demeter unto us does render,
Fertile plains in natural splendor,
Winter wheat from earth does waken,
As newborn fawn, first steps are taken,
A masked raccoon, its thirst does slake,
At water's edge of ox-bow lake,
Tranquil pool of burnished glass,
Rimmed by sea of blue-stem grass,
A red-tailed hawk floats high in sky,
The Wakarusa flows nearby,
Chinook's warm winds have brought spring's thaw,
In cottonwood, lone crow does caw,
Whispers of a freshening breeze,
Singing nature's harmonies,
A great blue heron, stands sentinel,
In silent guard of hidden dell,
Comes forth the spring, from winter's tomb,
Resurrection, flowers bloom,
Blossoming in Helios warm,
On frailest stem in perfect form,
Lovely is primrose of spring,
Beauteous bloom of nature's bring,
A satin jewel from heaven sent,
Fills the air with fragrant scent,
Within its petals, secrets borne,
Protected by its piercing thorn,
As God above on us bestows,
The birth of spring, of spring's primrose.

With night and day of equal clocks,
Behold the vernal equinox,
As man and beast to heavens sing,
Behold the glory of a Kansas spring.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is soooooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, I have been to Kansas before and it is always so pretty in the spring, this is soooooo lovely! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, I love it! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tim, thank you for sharing!
