Unknown Valentine

I’ve not gazed into your eyes
to see love reflected there
Still in my heart I surmise
of me you may be aware

I’ve not heard your voice speaking
soft words that would capture me
Yet in my dreams I’m seeking
the one who holds my heart’s key

I’ve not felt your gentle touch
or trembled from it’s sweet heat
But in sleep I feel the clutch
of hot desire when we meet

I’ve not tasted of your kiss
as we drink of passion’s wine
Still in dreams I feel such bliss
when on love’s nectar we dine

I’ve not been in your embrace
to listen to your heart beat
Yet at midnight trace your face
and loving kisses repeat

I’ve not felt caress divine
from a love we both pursue
But my unknown Valentine
I send all my love to you

This is so very beautifully written, Karen.

If I were a witch
I'd bring him to life
and he'd make your life easy
he'd remove all your strife

If I were a witch
I'd make him so real
a man you would see
a love you would feel

But I'm only human
so all I can do
is hope that you'll soon
find someone who loves you

And because we're both poets
who dabble in rhyme
I hope that you meet him
in a very short time

Karen, You Paint your dreams in such vivid colours!!!!  Excellent

Long Distance Love Song

Last night I held you while you cried.
I wept along with you...
I was that moved to see that you.
Felt free enought to cry with me.

Last night I held you while you cried,
For I knew not what else to do,
But comfort you and hold you close,
And give you all the love you need.

Last night I dreamt of you...somehow.
And you were crying in my dreams.
But when I awoke this mourning.
I found you were far away.

Sometimes a sadness fills my heart,
It overwhelms at times like these,
When I cannot reach out my hand,
And draw you close to me.
......................................
Last night I felt you hold me,
As I cried inside your dreams.

There is someone out there... a soulmate that you are connected to... although you may not know his name or even see his face clearly now.... he is thinking of you just as you are thinking of him...

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Karen - This makes me want to go to bed right now and see what my dreams may bring.lol  Really liked the idea behind this one and how you carried it through in each stanza.  Very nice.

Karen, I'm sure he receives your love deep into his soul. And I must believe that he also send you his. Your spirits are always together. In God's own dimension, not seen on earth.

Hello, Karen.  I just read "I Weave" and it was so sad I couldn't comment.  But this is much more upbeat.  Here's hoping you find your unknown valentine.
